What documentation do i need to buy or rent a property in Brazil?
Your travel passport is usually enough  to sign a rental  agreement or to buy a property CPF (Cadastro das pessoas fisicas) is also required.
What is a CPF?
CPF is an identification (ID)  number that is required for documentation, registration and identification of individuals during and for financial transactions.
What is a CRECI?
CRECI ( Conselito regional de correturo imobiliários) is the professional organization who regulates career property manager and real estate. Only registred members are legally allowed to work as Corretores (property manager).
What is ITBI?
Inter-vivos transfer tax (ITBI) is a faxation you need to the goverment to purchase a property. The tax varies from 3-6% depending on the property´s value.
